Service Description

Meet Just Paper and Tea's in-house calligrapher and learn the skills you will need to start making your own beautiful invitations, place cards, and other artwork! This class is perfect for anyone coming from our beginner's class or who has minimal prior experience with dip-pen calligraphy. After getting everyone up to speed, we will cover putting strokes together into balanced letters and words, making select majuscules (uppercase letters) and basic flourishes. The class will end with an introduction to taking your next steps such as making invitations, place cards, and placemats. This is a relaxed class with some more wiggle room where everyone is free to explore their own interests after covering the basics of letters and strokes! If you want to explore more advanced topics such as composition, spacing, and designing your own artwork, I’d be happy to talk after class about further private lessons.
